La Concha, the large mountain that overlooks Marbella and the surrounding area, has been climbed by many over the years so we've put together some information to let you know how you can do it too. Firstly, you need to make your way to what we call base camp, the Refugio de Juanar Hotel just 10 minutes from Marbella up the road to Ójen.

It's worth continuing on along the ridge for 200m to the southern edge of the Concha to a large cairn from where the views down to Marbella are even better. A trig point here marks 1203m. Started at 7:30 in the morning from the Refugio parking place. I am 52, fit and only had a bottle of water and some food with me. It is really a tough one. 7 km each way with 850
