Peles Castle was a lifetime project of the first king of Romania. By 1883, the castle was suited to host the royal family who spent six months in Sinaia every year during the life of Carol the 1st. Numerous and ample architectural works were done until his death to the beautiful German Neo-Renaissance style castle, a reminder of the King's.
